One great way to get acquainted with Tahiti is by taking a tour around the island. And if you want something more daring, there are plenty of hikes available that take you through tropical forests filled with exotic wildlife and breathtaking views.

The waters surrounding Tahiti are filled with some of the best scuba diving spots in all of French Polynesia. There are numerous sites where you can explore shipwrecks, underwater caves and even sunken cities! The visibility is excellent and there’s an abundance of vibrant corals and sea life waiting to be discovered beneath the surface.

The island, located about 143 miles(230 km) northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef.

In the centre of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu, the highest point at 2385 ft. Hollywood and film industries from most other parts of the globe, have never tired of capturing its spectacular topography.

The ocean waves are enhanced by a natural effect caused by the edge diffraction of open ocean swells around the island of Catalina.

Swells generated predominantly from the North Pacific in winter and from a combination of Southern Hemisphere storms and hurricanes in the summer focus on Huntington Beach creating consistent surf all year long. Huntington beach is often referred to as "Surf City", because of this high profile event, its history and culture of surfing.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Is one of the oldest national park in Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register. Contains a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. These have been formed by processes typical of karst landscapes such as the deposition of travertine barriers, creating natural dams. These geological processes continue today.

The waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have, over thousands of years, deposited travertine barriers, creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. These geological processes continue today. The forests in the park are home to bears, wolves and many rare bird species.

Sipadan is the only oceanic island in Malaysia, rising 2,000 ft from de seabed. It is located in the Celebes Sea off the east coast of Sabah, East Malaysia (which is on the island of Borneo. It was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct volcanic cone that took thousands of years to develop.

Sipadan is located at the heart of the IndoPacific basin, the centre of one of the richest marine habitats in the world. More than 3000 species of fish and  hundreds of coral species have been classified in this ecosystem.

The Nassau paradise

Nassau is the capital, largest city, and commercial centre of the Common wealth of the Bahamas. Lynden Pindling International Airport, the major airport for the Bahamas, is located about 16 km (9.9 mi) west of Nassau city centre, and has daily flights to major cities in the US, the Caribbean, Canada and the UK. The city is located on the island of New Providence, which functions much like a business district. Nassau's modern growth began in the late eighteenth century, with the influx of thousands of American Revolutionary War. Many of them settled in Nassau and eventually came to outnumber the original inhabitants.

The Lanquin Caves National Park is a protected area consisting of a large limestones cave system located 1 km (0.62 mi) west of Lanquín in the department of  Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. The cave system Lanquin was declared a national park in 1955 covering an area of about 11 hectares (0.1 km²). Near the entrance passes a river also called Lanquín walking about 12 miles to the river Cahabon.

 Located 1 km from the municipal seat of Lanquín, on the road that leads to Coban, passes over the input Lanquin Caves, one of the first declared protected areas in Guatemala.

Wonderful things in Yosemite National Park

Is a United States National Park spanning eastern portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa, and Madera counties in the central  eastern portion of the U.S state of California. The park, which is managed by the National Park Service, covers an area of 761.268 acres (3.080.74 km²) and reaches  across the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain.

Designated a World Heritage Site in 1984, Yosemite is internationally recognized for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, Giant Sequoia groves, and biological diversity. Almost 95% of the park is designated wilderness. Yosemite was central to the development of the national park idea. First Galen Clark and others lobbied to protect Yosemite Valley from development, ultimately leading to President Abraham Lincoln´s signing the Yosemite Grant in 1864. Later, John Muir led a successful movement to establish a larger national park encompassing not just the valley, but surrounding montains and forest as well-paving the way for the United States national park system.
