A monkey´s paradise in Japan´s Jigokudani Monkey Park

Japan´s Jigokudani Monkey Park

Is in Yamanouchi, Shimotakai District, Nagano Prefecture. It is part of the Joshin-etsu Kogen National Park, and is located in the valley of the Yokoyu-River, in the Northern part of the prefecture. The name Jigokudani, meaning "Hell´s valley" is due to the steam and boiling water that bubbles out of small crevices in the frozen ground, surrounded by steep cliffs and formidably cold and hostile forests.

In this place snow covers the ground for 4 months a year, the heavy snowfalls, an elevation of 850 metres and being only accesible via a narrow 2 km(1.24 mi) footpath through the forest, keep it uncrowded despite being relatively well-known.

Is a prehistoric monument in wiltshire, England, about 3.2 km (2 miles) west of Amesbury and 13 km (8 miles) north of Salisbury. One of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is the remains of a ring of standing stones set within earthworks. It is in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and bronze age monuments in england, including several hundred burial mounds.

Stonehenge is surely Britain´s greatest national icon, symbolizing mystery, power and endurance. Its original purpose is unclear to us, but some have speculated that it was a temple made for the worship of ancient earth deities.
